Backed by top-tier investors (Benchmark, Blossom, Index Ventures, and Kima Ventures) and born out of Y Combinator (S18), we’re simplifying complex systems to build the future of travel Legal at Duffel Reporting into the Head of Legal & Compliance, you will be our second in-house legal employee. We are looking for someone who is excited to work at the intersection of technology and travel and to play an integral part in our Legal function.

You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with key stakeholders across the business and assume a broad range responsibilities. About the role You will be supporting the business with the full range of legal matters. Drafting, reviewing, negotiating and advising on a range of commercial agreements. Supporting and advising on data protection, including GDPR compliance. Partnering with the People team on employment-related legal matters. Developing and maintaining practical legal guidance and efficient processes.

Researching regulatory developments and identifying necessary changes to our systems and procedures. Acting as a trusted advisor and providing clear and timely legal advice to multiple stakeholders. Assessing risk factors regarding business decisions and operations, and offering creative solutions. Managing a varied workload in a fast-paced environment. What we're looking for: 2-4 years PQE. English law qualified solicitor with a SRA practising certificate.

Experienced in commercial contracts, particularly in the tech industry, with an understanding of data protection. Highly organised and analytical, enabling clear prioritisation and escalation. Strong commercial acumen: able to assess risk effectively and recommend solutions that balance business and risk perspectives. Collaborative team player, adept at working with multiple stakeholders. Comfortable handling a broad range of legal issues, even if outside your core area of expertise.

A confident communicator, able to demystify complex legal concepts into understandable language. Nice to have: exposure to the travel industry. Nice to have : mix of private practice and in-house e
